Thursday Night Thoughts

Perhaps I should have left Rutgers at #3. It will be interesting to see how the Scarlet Knights finish the season, but if they win out they will undoubtedly be #2 on my ballot at the end of season. What a tremendous game to watch, congrats to Rutgers on the biggest win in school history. On to the Nebraska pregame thoughts:

Keys for A&M This Week:

-Score touchdowns when in the redzone. This seems self-explanatory, but the Aggies have been settling for field goals all season and it finally cost them last week against Oklahoma. You would think that a team with Jorvorskie Lane wouldn't have this dilemma, yet it persists.

-If I could convince Coach Fran to run one play, it would be to audible into a "long handoff" when teams line the cornerbacks up way off the line of scrimmage. A big part of Oklahoma's coverage success was giving the Aggies such a cushion. If a defense is giving up five easy yards, I say take them.

-The defense needs to come to play right from the get go. On several occasions A&M has been gashed for big yardage and bigger points in the first quarter.

-This will be the last game for the seniors at Kyle Field. I'd like to see Chad Schroeder and Justin Warren have big games and go out on a high note. If Schroeder can open up the offense, the rushing attack should be dominant in the second half. Warren has the ability to lead the defense to a big day.

Gig 'Em Ags.
